Managing Users
This page covers how to add, edit, and remove users in Strawly. Only users with the Admin role can manage other users.
Viewing users
- In the top navigation, go to Settings.
- Select Users from the sidebar.
The Users page lists all accounts with their email address, role, and status (active or inactive).
Adding a user
- Go to Settings → Users.
- Click Add user (or Invite user, depending on your version).
- Fill in the form:
- Email — the user's email address (used to log in)
- Name — display name shown in the UI
- Role — the permission level to assign (see Permissions)
- Password — set a temporary password; the user should change it on first login
- Click Save.
The user can now log in with the email and password you set.
Editing a user
- Go to Settings → Users.
- Click the user's name or the edit icon next to them.
- Update the fields you want to change (name, role, email).
- Click Save.
Note
To change a user's password, see Passwords.
Deactivating a user
Deactivating a user prevents them from logging in without permanently deleting their account or their data.
- Go to Settings → Users.
- Click the edit icon next to the user.
- Toggle the Active switch to off.
- Click Save.
Deactivated users cannot log in. Their data and activity history are preserved.
Deleting a user
Deleting a user permanently removes their account.
- Go to Settings → Users.
- Click the edit icon next to the user.
- Click Delete user (usually at the bottom of the form).
- Confirm the deletion.
Warning
Deletion is permanent. If the user might need access again in the future, deactivate them instead.
Reactivating a user
- Go to Settings → Users.
- Locate the deactivated user (you may need to show inactive users via a filter).
- Click the edit icon.
- Toggle the Active switch back on.
- Click Save.
